Laser Cleaning - Historic Restoration
Historic Restoration and Laser Conservation
The laser's ability to remove contaminants from substrates without damaging the surface makes this technology a great solution for many conservation projects.

The power levels of our laser cleaning systems allow a cost effective use of laser technology to conserve large objects, such as buildings or large sculptures. Our 120 Watt laser systems have been used on some of the largest laser restoration jobs in the world.

Our new 20 Watt laser system brings a reliable and cost effective technology to the restoration market for smaller restoation jobs.

adapt laser systems were exclusively used on the largest facade cleaning job in the world to date. Up to three 120 W laser systems were operated to clean the entire sand-stone facade of the Nickerson Mansion in downtown Chicago.

A total of over 20.000 square feet of very detailed surface was cleaned, without damaging the surface. The laser conservation process removed the dirt of over 100 years but left the original patina of the stone intact. The building looks now clean, but still old. Only laser conservation could achieve those outstanding results.

adapt laser systems have been used to:

    • remove contaminants on sandstone facades of buildings
    • stone cleaning of all kinds
    • remove oxides from bronze statues and other metal objects
    • clean marble sculptures
    • graffiti removal

The adjustable power levels of our laser systems allow for a fast but gentle removal of many contaminants.
